ALARP: As Low as reasonably possible
H&S Standard Risk Matrix
Likelihood
Almost Certain: Is expected to occur in most circumstances
Likely: Will probably occur in most circumstances
Possible: Expected to happen at some time
Unlikely: Could Occur at some time
Rare: May occur only in exceptional circumstances
Consequence (Injury Type)
No Injury: No Treatment Required (e.g. slipped over but no injury sustained)
First Aid: Treated at location
Medical Treatment: MTI’s and LTI’s Treatment needed by medical provider
Serious Injuries: Injuries such as permanent disabilities, extensive injuries, etc
Fatalities: Single and multiple
